Slight but undoubtedly rich with dark fruit; cherry, raisin, fig (with Christmas pudding notes on the nose for those lucky enough to know what that is) along with floral lemongrass and a touch of nutmeg.
Flavours:
Sweet and creamy on the palate, with butterscotch, honey and peppercorn bringing along sweet Bourbon Cask notes with dried fruit returning through notes of maraschino cherries and a pinch of brown sugar.

Lingering notes of ginger spices with a faint glimmer of almond to end a complex Irish Whiskey from start to finish.

CompareGlendalough is an independent distillery founded by five friends that has lead the craft revival in Ireland. Having made a splash with their poitín styles, this double-barrel whiskey is a step in a new direction. It’s made from a mash bill of malted barley and corn distilled in Coffey stills. It matured 3.5 years in ex-bourbon barrels with an added 6 months in ex-oloroso sherry casks. Note: The guy with his arms outstretched on the label is St. Kevin, known for radical independence.
