Arran’s Machrie Moor releases are named after a mystical peat bog on the west coast of the eponymous island. Not mystical in the sense that unicorns and dragons fly out of it on a regular basis (as far as we know), but mystical in a ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’ foggy moorland style of mystical. Unicorns or not, these are smashing single malts from the Arran distillery – and this is their eighth batch!
